Thanks to the NRA Foundation, Boy Scout Troop 792 is hosting a free archery shoot for local youth.

Details:
date and time: Saturday, August 17, 8:30 AM
location: Mt. Madonna Park archery range (map thereto at the bottom of this page)
open to boys and girls, ages 10-17, no experience required, but must be able to pull a 29-lb bow
Only the bows from the Grant will be used in the competition. And these are only right-handed bows.
The Scout Oath and Law (at bottom of this page below the map) apply to all behavior (that of youth as well as adults) at this event.


Instructions:

Register by providing

  • youth's name
  • accompanying parent's name
  • youth's age on Aug. 17, 2013
  • parent's contact information (either a phone number or e-mail address)

  • if no e-mail, sending the above information via U.S. mail to Boy Scout Troop 792, c/o 8886 Muraoka Dr., Gilroy, CA 95020.

Check this page for your youth's registration number.


Winners will be determined by points within age group; the top score from each age group gets a bow. Any ties will be resolved with a shoot-off. Age groups will be divided up as evenly possible based on number.


Space is limited to 40 archers; priority is given based on registration date. If not full by Aug. 17, then by lottery for those who are present before start time. If still not full, then first-come, first-served.
